University of Madras 2011 PG Diploma in Immunotechnology
University of Madras conducts an admission process for admission to its one year PG Diploma in Immunotechnology Programme. The PG Diploma Programme is being provided by University of madras in collaboration with Mediclone Biotech Private Limited. The programme is meant to train the candidates to work in immunotechnology based R&D units and pharmaceuticals industries. Candidates after completing the programme will have placement opportunities with Mediclone Biotech as well as other biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
The programme is conducted at Department of Zoology, University of Madras’s Guindy Campus as well as Mediclone Biotech Pvt. Ltd., at Velichai which is near Kelambakkam. Selection in the programme is based on candidate’s merit in the qualifying exam, entrance examination and an interview.
The Institute has managed to establish a huge name for itself fin the education sector as the combination of high quality education as well as quality teaching staff have led to great deal of record placement for the candidates.
Programme Offered:
PG Diploma in Immunotechnology (1 year)
Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate should have Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Allied Health Sciences OR MBBS/BDS/B. Tech Biotechnology. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 40% in their Post Graduate level. Though mandatorily, there are no specific upper age limits for the candidates. There are particular numbers of seats that are reserved for candidates who belong to the reservation categories. Also there are seats that are reserved for candidates who belong to the defence background as well as those who are nuns and nurses or have a little job experience as the same.
How to Apply:
Candidates can get the application form from University of Madras, Huindy Campus on payment of a Demand Draft in favor of “Registrar,University of Madras A/C Dean, Industrial Consultancy” payable at Chennai. Candidates have the option to pay at the cashier account through three methods, one of them is cash, the other is Demand Draft and the last one is through Cheque. The candidates can also obtain the application form through post. Candidates only have to submit the requite letter written in their own handwriting.
