Pattern of NERIST examination:

NEE-I:

• Section I -25 questions in Physics

• Section II- 25 questions in Chemistry

• Section III- 25 questions in Biology

• Section IV- 50 questions in Mathematics

NEE-II:

• Section I - 35 questions on Physics

• Section II - 35 questions on Chemistry

• Section III - 50 questions on Mathematics

• Section IV - 50 questions on Biology

NEE-III:

• Section I - 25 questions on Physics

• Section II - 25 questions on Chemistry

• Section III - 25 questions on Mathematics

• Section IV - 50 questions on Branch subjec.

Eligibility for NERIST examination:

For NEE-I:

• Candidates who have completed their 10th standard or equivalent examination with mathematics and science are eligible.

• Those awaiting results can also apply.

• The candidate should not be more than 19 years of age as on 1st August of the year of admission. Relaxation of 5 Years and 3 years is there for SC/ST/PH / OBC /female candidates

For NEE-II:

For Engineering and Technology Stream:

• The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

(Or)

• The candidate should have passed 10+2 Vocational program in Electronics/ Farm Machinery & Equipment / Electrical / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Automobile Technology/ Structure & Fabrication Technology/ Computer Science OR NERIST Certificate (E&T). These candidates can apply only for computer science engineering and related disciplines.

For Forestry stream:

• The candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board.

Or

• The candidate should have passed 10+2 vocational program NERIST certificate in Forestry/horticulture/Forestry.

• Those awaiting results can also apply.

• The maximum age of the candidate should be 23 years as on 1st of August of the year of admission. Exemption of 5 Years and 3 years is there for SC/ST/PH / OBC / female candidates

For NEE-III:

• The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board.

Or

• The candidate should possess three years diploma in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or Mechanical engineering or even in their allied branches with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

• Those awaiting results can also apply.

• The upper age limit of the candidate is fixed as 40 years as on 1st of August of the year of admission. Exemption of 5 Years and 3 years is there for SC/ST/PH / OBC /female candidates
