Food technology is the utilization of food science to select, preserve, package, and distribute food items. It is also concerned with the usage of clean and nutritious food items to make wholesome meals. The basic qualification required for candidates joining this course is a pass in class 10+2. The food technology course equips the candidate to examine raw materials, standards of packaging, hygiene factors etc in addition to techniques in processing and food storage. They are also given training on how to develop good products from industrial as well as household waste.

Eligibility

For the admission into this course, the candidates must have completed their B.Sc or higher secondary with Chemistry and Zoology. The students should have also pursued the subjects like Physics, Home science, Microbiology or Botany. They must have scored a minimum of 45 percent marks.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for these courses must have finished their Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or must have a graduate degree in science in Biology, Chemistry along with Mathematics and Physics subjects.

AIJEE: All India Joint Entrance Exam Exam is conducted for admitting students into the B.Tech course in Food Technology and Biochemical Science. The candidates must qualify the state Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) or the All India Joint Entrance Exam (AIJEE) for joining the course.
