The TEXAS Instruments paper is mainly given by students for the purposes of placement into the company. The selection is based on the written test and interview. It is important to clear the written test successfully in order to be eligible for the interview. The written test comprises of Technical Test and Aptitude Test.

The Technical Test has 3 sections – the first one being Digital Circuits, the second one being Data Structures & Algorithms and third one being Analog Circuits. However, the student has to choose only two sections. Each section has about 10 questions. Thus the total duration of the paper is 45 minutes for 20 questions from the two sections. This paper is aimed at testing the analytical and technical skills of the students. It is mostly a test of speed and accuracy. There is negative marking on the paper so as to discourage guess work.

The technical test is followed by an Aptitude test which has 75 questions. The time duration for the same is one hour.  The candidate is expected to get a minimum score of 55-60% in order to be eligible for the interview. Sample papers are available on the net for general reference.
