The AIMA conducts an UGAT entrance exam for candidate’s admission into Bachelor in Computer application, Bachelor in Business Administration and Bachelor in Hotel Management courses. This Under Graduate Aptitude Test will be conducted in many institutes throughout the country. This exam is conducted by All India Management Associations and UGAT admission is open to 75 institutes across the country. There will be a common entrance test paper for both BCA and BBA candidates.  The UGAT entrance exam will be conducted in the month of May.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have completed 12th exam or equivalent from the recognized board or university. Those who have appeared for the final exam can also apply for this test.

Structure and Pattern

The Entrance Exam consists of four sections. The questions are from Reasoning and intelligence, English language, General Knowledge and Numerical and Data analysis. The UGAT BBA exam consists of 130 questions and duration of this paper is two hours. The English Language section consists of 40 questions. This section will have questions from reading comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, preposition, articles, sentence formation, vocabulary, etc. The Numerical and Data analysis section consists of 30 questions. This will cover algebra, trigonometry, profit and loss, percentage, time and distance, probability, numbers, etc. The Reasoning and Intelligence consists of 30 questions. This section consists of odd man out, data sufficiency, analogies, coding and decoding, basic arithmetic and logical concept questions, etc.

The General knowledge section consists of 30 questions. This section will have questions from general science, current affairs, History of India and its constituents, economy of the country, scientific aspects, everyday activities, etc. The candidate has to spend equal time for all these sections. They should prepare a time table and should follow this till their exam. They have to read newspapers and magazines daily to know the current happenings in India and around the world. The candidate can find many online tests for language skills. They have to practice these papers to improve their skills. For mathematics section, they should learn short cut methods and formulas thoroughly. This will help them to complete this section soon. Time management is more important for preparation and writing the exam.
