Heavy Water Board (HWB) which is a part of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), produces heavy water which is used in nuclear power and research reactors. HWB has also exported heavy water to South Korea. HWB is also interested to supply heavy water of any specification to any place in the world.

Job Profile:

Heavy Water Board, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Mumbai invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Category II Trainees in various disciplines.

No. of posts: 31 Mechanical (Fitter) -5, Mechanical (Turner) -2, Electrical - 1, instrument Mechanic  -2, Crane Operator - 3, Lab Technician -1, Process/ Plant Operator - 17)

Pay Scale – Consolidated stipend of Rs. 6200. Candidates who are successfully completing the training, will be appointed as Technician-B/ Technician-C in the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 + GP of Rs.2000 (For Technician-B) and GP of Rs. 2400 (For Technician-C).

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The age criteria is between 18 and 25 years of age, which is relaxable according to rules.

Qualification – The candidates must have done SSC or equivalent with not less than 60% of aggregate marks + at least 2 yrs ITI certificate in Instrument-Mechanic/ Electrical/Mechanical or at least 3 yrs NCTVT. For Process/ Plant Operator, the candidate must have done Higher Secondary or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
