Heavy Water Board (HWB) works under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). HWB is mainly involved in the production of Heavy Water used as moderator and coolant in the nuclear power reactors and research reactors. The primary goal of the HWB is to become a self sufficient Heavy Water producer. It has branches at different parts of the country like Tuticorin, Thal, Talcher, Manuguru, Kota, Hazira, Baroda and Mumbai.

Job Profile:

Heavy Water Board (HWB), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Mumbai invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Category I Trainees in various disciplines.

No. of posts: 37 (Chemical - 18, Mechanical - 6, Electrical - 4, Instrumentation - 2, Chemistry (Laboratory) - 7)

Pay Scale – Consolidated stipend of Rs. 9300. On successful completion of training, candidates will be appointed as Scientific/ Technical Assistant - B in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 + GP of Rs.4200.

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The age criteria is between 18 and 25 years. But, this can be relaxed as per the guidelines of Heavy Water Board.

Qualification – The candidates must have completed their 3 yrs Diploma / Licentiate in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical with minimum of 60% marks. For Chemistry (Laboratory) discipline, the candidates must have minimum 60% Marks in aggregate in B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as main subject and Physics & Mathematics as auxiliary subjects.
