Profile:

Ranchi Institute of Nuero Psychiatry & Allied Sciences was initially established in Munghyr as Lunatic Asylum. It was later shifted to Patna in the year 1821. Lunatic Asylum was then shifted to its present location Ranchi in the year 1925 and also its names was changed to Indian Mental Hospital. The name of the hospital was changed again in the year 1958 to Ranchi Mansik Arogyashala after the hospital came under the State Government of Bihar. The institute got its present name i.e. Ranchi Institute of Nuero Psychiatry & Allied Sciences in the year 1998.

Job Profile:

Ranchi Institute of Nuero Psychiatry & Allied Sciences invites candidature from citizen of India to appear in the walk-in-interview for the posts of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and Psychiatric Social Work purely on temporary basis.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be within the prescribed age limit set for the posts of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and Psychiatric Social Work in Ranchi Institute of Nuero Psychiatry & Allied Sciences. Relaxation in age limit is only for the reserved category candidates and no age relaxation will be provided to the General candidates.

Educational Qualification:

MBBS is the educational qualification required for the specified posts of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and Psychiatric Social Work in Ranchi Institute of Nuero Psychiatry & Allied Sciences. Ph.D. Clinical Psychology/M/Phil (M&SP), Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work/M/Phil (PSW) respectively. Also MD (Psychiatry)/DPM or two years of working and research experience in a psychiatric steup after MBBS is needed.

No. of posts:

Psychiatry: 4 posts (General-1, ST-1 and OBC-1)
Clinical Psychology: 4 posts (General-3 and ST-1)
Psychiatric Social Work: 2 posts (General-1 and OBC-1)

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be paid in the Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 + NPA (NPA for Medical Doctors only. Also the other allowances will be given to the selected candidates as applicable.

Selection Process:

Only Selected candidates will be called for the Walk-In-Interview for the respective posts on 29 January 2011. Candidates will have to attend the Walk-In-Interview at 11 AM on the specified date. Candidates must reach on time for the interview. Eligible candidates will be informed through call letters.
