Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), the World’s only Urdu University, came into existence in the year 1998. The university is completely funded by the Government of India (Ministry of Human Resource Development) through the University Grants Commission. The University offers both Campus as well as Distance education programmes. The university offers flexible admission rules for distance education programmers. The university also offers short duration technical and vocational courses apart from the regular courses in order to build the necessary skills for employment.

Eligibility:
Qualification – The candidates must have 55% marks in master’s degree. They must have PhD degree in relevant field or must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) or SLET/ SET. The candidates should have studied Urdu at SSC/+2 or graduate level compulsorily. For SC/ST candidates, any certificate course in Urdu will also be considered.
