North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) was setup by the Government of India on 4th March 1984. NERIST was established initially as a project of the North Eastern council, for providing a system of Education to create technical manpower at different levels for the development of the North Eastern Region of the country.

NERIST is controlled by a Board of Management comprising of the MHRD, Govt. of India, the seven beneficiary states of the North Eastern region, AICTE and eminent educationists. NERIST offers unconventional and innovative academic programmes with central facilities like gymkhana, training & placement cell, institute library, education technology cell, central research facility, central computing facility, etc…

Pay Scale – Rs. 37400-67000 + AGP of Rs. 10000

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification and Experience – The candidates must have Ph.D. with first class in Master’s or B.Tech Degree in relevant discipline with a very good academic record.  They must have minimum ten years experience with least 5 years experience as Associate Professor or equivalent grade. They must also a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy paper.
