How to apply to the jobs in Indian Defense Sector?

The Union Public Service Commission conducts common examination for recruitment of candidates to Indian Army, Air Force and Navy and candidates can apply for these examinations to get an opportunity to enter the Indian defense sector. Normally, the announcements for these examinations are issued in the employment newspapers and in all regional newspapers in such a way that eligible candidates can apply to these examinations to find their dream job in Indian Defense Sector.

Selection process:

A strict selection process is followed for recruitment of candidates to the Defense Sector since it is something related with the protection of the nation. Therefore, only the best candidates can find placement opportunities. The selection process includes written test and interview, which is otherwise called as personality and intelligence test. Written test is conducted in two papers, namely general ability and mathematics with 600 marks for the former paper and 300 marks for the later paper. Both these papers are conducted for two-and-half hours each and candidates clearing this written examination will be called for interview to assess the potential of the candidate and to find whether they are suitable for the job. If they are suitable, the authorities will decide as to whether to post the candidate in army or navy or air force.

Defense sector offers a pay that is equivalent to the pay scale offered by private companies and a job in defense sector offers not only protection to that particular person who gets appointment, but also to the whole family by offering educational and medical facilities to the whole family of its employees.
