M.Sc In Family And Community Science
M.Sc in Family and Community Science is the course that is related to the improvement of living standards in developing countries. The study of improving the quality of living in developing countries is the key study of the subject. In this study, families and communities are divided into units and these units are separately studied. Various projects are implemented within these units and a study id made on these subjects. This approach aims at family development, household betterment and manages sustainable projects.
The overall betterment of the each family and units improves the quality of life. If the life of each person is improved, the whole area benefits and the standard of life improve. The projects that are included are based on food and nutrition, equity, housing, health and sanitation, food and nutrition, education providing, wealth creation, sustainable development and promoting inter generational well being.
Eligibility:
In order to pursue this Masters degree, you need to complete Bachelors degree in science. Many esteemed institutions prefer students who are first class graduates. Other instutions may require 45 to 50% marks in graduation.
Duration:
The duration of this course is two years. The level is post graduation degree and hence takes two years to complete.
The road ahead:
You can go for a Ph D degree and that will fetch you a doctorate degree. You can also do research in the said subject.
Job prospects:
The job prospects in the said course are many. It is because of the fact that this road is less treaded. If one completes B Ed along with this degree, one can become a teacher or faculty. You can also become an instructor, dietician, quality inspector and ICDS Supervisor. You can also become a child development project officer. Family counseling is another field that will be apt for this degree.
