The IISER came into being in 2006. Initially when it was started it had campuses only in Pune and Kolkata. Later it had its wing in Mohali. The foundation stone for IISER Bhopal and Trivandrum was laid down in 2008. The foundation stone for IISER was laid with an aim of providing world class education to UG and PG students. It was found with an aim to mould the young brains into the master brains of the nation. It was laid by ministry of human resource e development. Apart from the mission of giving science education and doing research it also aims at inculcating moral and ethical values into students. It targets at creating a social and environmental awareness among the people.

IISER invites applications for the post of project lab assistant. The details are as given below:

The IISER conducts a walk in interview for the post of the project lab assistant on 10th June, 2011 at its Bhopal premises. The interested candidates can just walk in for the interview. The Sr no. for the post is 01.

QUALIFICATIONS: the candidate should be MSc or BSc degree holder with having taken physics as the main or optional subject.

Those candidates having an experience of at least 2 years will be given preference. These 2 years experience should include experience in handling laboratory or research equipment and scientific equipment or central instrumentation equipment like XRD / SQUID / SRF / AFM etc.

Pay scale: the initial pay scale is of Rs. 8000/- PM + HRA 20%. It also brings in with it a provision of annual increment at the rate of 10 % on the initial consolidated salary.

General terms and conditions for the post:

i) The job is initially provided for a year which then can be extended if there are more research demands in the organization.

ii) It’s not a permanent job and the candidate is appointed purely on contract basis. And the contract would be extended for not more than 5 years.

ii) The venue for the interview is IISER premises, Bhopal. The board room at IISER, Bhopal.
