The body responsible for NCHMCT exam is National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Those who wish to pursue a career in hospitality profession can apply for the test. Structure of NCHMT

The duration of NCHMCT entrance test is 180 minutes. The paper consists of 200 multiple choice questions. Candidates can choose either Hindi or English as their medium to answer the paper. The questions will be mostly from quantitative ability and Scientific Aptitude, Service and Hospitality Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English Language proficiency and General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Each correct answer will be given one mark. There are negative markings for each section except for service and hospitality aptitude section.

Syllabus

The question paper carries 30 questions from Reasoning and Logical thinking section, 30 questions from qualitative problem solving skills and Scientific Aptitude, 30 questions from General awareness and Current Affair and 30 questions from Service and Hospitality Aptitude. The English sections will be having 80 Questions

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their plus two or its equivalent are eligible to apply. They should have taken English as one of the subjects. Candidates from any other stream can also apply. Those who are currently doing their 10+2 are also eligible for the test.

The upper age limit should not exceed 22 years on or before July 1st in case of General or OBC. Those belonging to Schedule cast and Schedule tribe have an exception of 25 years.

How to Apply?

Candidates can purchase the form either online or personally. They can either download the form from the official website. Those who wish to buy personally can get it from the designated branches. They should carefully fill the form and sent it to the designated places on or before the final date of submission of the forms.

There in another medium also to obtain the post. They need to send a Demand Draft with a request for application form to the respective department. They need to write down their registration number behind the Demand Draft with a signature of the candidate. They should also enclose a copy of all the important documents.

How to fill the Form?

Application forms should be filled carefully and forwarded to the respective addresses given in the form. The fees is Rs 900/- for students belonging to General category or OBC. Those belonging to Schedule cast or tribe have to pay lesser fee, Rs 450/-. The Demand Draft should be addressed to the NCHMCT, payable at NOIDA or New Delhi. Those who wish to apply online shall also follow the same format. They can pay either through Credit Card or Debit Card.

Students can prepare a timetable and follow it regularly. If they try to work out previous years question paper it would be more helpful. They can also learn how to manage time. NCHMCT Cutoff

The cutoff marks are different for every institute. In order to get admittance in some of the best institute one should score 80% or above.

Score Validity

The validity period of NCHMCT score is one year.
