Swami Vivekananda group of Institutes was established by Shri. Raghunath Rai Memorial Educational Charitable trust which is at Mohali in Punjab. The trust is mainly founded by a group of many educationists who have contributed a lot in the educational field. The head of the trust is Shri.Ashwani Garg.

College premises:

This team is lead by group of professionals. SVIET or Swami Vivekananda Institute of Engineering and Technology is the best institution in the education sector that comprises of over 3000 students studying across twenty five acres of Hi-tech campus. One can find a very good infrastructure and the campus is planned in an excellent way. The campus is divided into four zones like Hostels, main college building, administration block and sports complex. There are other accessories that have well equipped labs, computer centre with Audio visual support, library, canteen etc. The campus also has a garden that would attract the individuals which are grown by the PAU experts.

Library at College:

Good library that satisfies the urge of reading of all the educational books and helps the students, research scholars and the faculty. In case of the faculty members and the research scholars they have an Open access but the students have a limited access. The library has a huge collection of latest books and Cds which are updated on daily basis. The SVIET library has the membership of British Library and the American Information Resource centre and this offers a photocopying facility also. The Library aims at the books and the periodicals and the students in that college are required to read them when they are in the premises.

There are different educational courses which are offered for the students to stand on their feet. Courses like B. Tech course for CSE, ECE, IT, ME, Civil, LEET for 4 years, MBA and MCA and other courses of M. Tech CSE, ECE, ME and other Diploma courses. Courses of Welder (Gas & Electric), Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician, Mechanic, Computer Operator course and Pharmacy courses are also offered in this college.

Eligibility:

All the B. Tech courses are for four years and all the graduation courses require the 10+2 degree and the post graduation courses need the degree completion.
