Information about University

Calicut University is a part of the history of Kerala. It was the second university in that state. The university was founded in the year 1968 with an ambition to give standard education to the students. The university had started little slowly but as the time went on it increased its strength and got itself amongst the finest universities of India. There are a large number of courses of different levels taught in its affiliated colleges. Mechanical Engineering is one of them.

The Mechanical Engineering 5th Sem Mechanics of Machinery Papers includes the general relationships of dimension synthesis, different straight line mechanism and the principles of gear materials etc. The different topics involved in this paper are very important for the students willing to continue their studies in future. The paper also deals with the different principles of velocity, three point synthesis mechanisms etc.

Paper pattern

The Calicut University Mechanical Engineering 5th Sem Mechanics of Machinery Paper has question set of two groups, where the first group contains eight questions and the second group includes four questions. The first section consists of 40 marks whereas the 2nd group carries 60 marks. In comparison to the 2nd group, first consists of small and short answer type questions whereas the second part contains effectively long answer type questions.

Time and total marks

All the students are advised to follow the instructions mentioned in the question paper. The paper deals with a total of 100 marks. The candidates have got only three hours to complete their exercise. Students are asked to present in the examination hall before the examination get started.
