National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited is a Government of India enterprise. It is a public limite company which deals in the industry of Hydro electric power. The company was founded in the year 1975 with its headquarters located at Faridabad. Mr. A. B. L. Srivastava is the current Chairman and Managing Director of the corporation. Initially, the corporation started off with an authorised capital of Rs. 2000 million. The corporation has an objective of planning and promoting an integrated and efficient development of hydroelectric power in all aspects.

Job Profile:

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited requires eligible and qualified candidates for making recruitment on the positions of Engineer Electrical and Junior Engineer Electrical in Electrical branch in Jammu and Kashmir. Eligible candidates will be recruited purely on fixed tenure basis for a minimum period of one year.

Eligibility:

The upper age limit set for the posts of Engineer and Junior Engineer is 30 years as on 30 June 2011. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/ Ex-Serviceman/ J&K Migrants categories, will get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit set for the specified posts. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PH categories candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Engineer: B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering discipline from a recognized institute or university. Candidates must have secured atleast 55% marks in aggregate at the B.E. level from a AICTE approved institute or university.

Junior Engineer: Diploma in Electrical Engineering discipline from a recognized institute or university. Candidates must have secured atleast 55% marks in aggregate in Diploma from a recognized Polytechnic institute.

Engineer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 16500 per month.
Junior Engineer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 8800 per month.

Selection Process:

A walk-in-interview will be held on specified dates for making selection of eligible or best suitable candidates on the above specified positions in National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited. The walk-in-interview for the post of Engineer will be held on 25th and 26th July 2011 and for the post of Junior Engineer will be held on 26th and 27th July 2011.

How to apply: Candidates will have to appear in the personal interview test on the prescribed dates only. Candidates will have to appear in the interview test between 9 Am to 12 PM at the below mentioned venue.
