The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board is shortly called as RPCB and it is a corporate body constituted under section 4 of the Water Act 1974. The board was constituted on the 7th of February 1975 with the objective of control and prevention of water pollution and maintenance & restoration of wholesomeness of water.

Recruitment by RPCB:

Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board has invited applications from eligible candidates for ministerial and technical/scientific posts to work for its head and regional offices. The details of notification issued by the board in this regard are given below:

Name of the Positions: Junior Scientific Officer, Junior Environment Engineer and LDC cum Data Entry Clerk

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 51, which is divided as follows:

• Junior Scientific Officer – 18 (General-10, SC-3, ST-2, OBC-2, SBC-1)

• Junior Environment Engineer – 15 (General-6, SC-3, ST-2, OBC-3, SBC-1)

• LDC Cum Data Entry Clerk – 18 (General-7, SC-4, ST-3, OBC-3, SBC-1)

Pay Scale: Pay scale announced for all three positions are given below:

• Junior Scientific Officer – Rs.9300-34800 + GP of Rs.4200, candidates should be probationary period for two years during which their salary would be Rs.13050 per month.

• Junior Environment Engineer – Rs.9300-34800 + GP of Rs.3200, candidates should be probationary period for two years during which their salary would be Rs.10000 per month.

• LDC Cum Data Entry Clerk – Rs.5200-20200 + GP of Rs.1900, candidates should be probationary period for two years during which their salary would be Rs.6100 per month.
