Paper description:

Auditing I paper deals with the study of the accounts of eth company and the methods to verify the accounts. The subjects include study of the methods and ways of auditing and its various impacts on the organization. The concept of internal checking and verification of the accounts through various means considering all the investments and liabilities of the company is also taught in the subject.

Frequently asked questions:

Few questions which are asked every year in the paper is “what is auditing and what are the uses of auditing?”.  Apart from that, topics like internal checking, regarding cash sales transactions, wages, cash purchases etc are also important. Questions are also framed from the topics like auditing under computerized environment, tabular format of auditing, assets verification and valuation.

Paper pattern:

The paper pattern of Bangalore University, B.Com, Accounting and Finance, Auditing-I, the paper is divided into 3 sections section A, B and C. the first section has short answer type questions. It has question number 1 in it which is divided into 12 sub questions. Out of the given 12 sub questions, only 10 are to be answered. The entire section is of 20 marks. The second section, section B has 8 questions, Out of the 8 only 5 are to be answered. The last section has 5 questions and only 3 are to be answered. These are long descriptive type questions to be answered in detail.

Maximum marks and time allotted:

The maximum mark of the paper is 90 which are to be answered in 3 hours.
