Patna High Court came into existence in the year 1916 on the 3rd of February and the court is authorized by the Indian Constitution. The court is functioning under the jurisdiction of the state of Bihar with its head office in the city of Patna.

Recruitment by Patna High Court:

Patna High Court has called for applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Data Entry Operator to be appointed purely on contract basis to work in the subordinate courts of the state of Bihar and the Judicial Academy of Bihar and the details regarding the notification issued by the court is given below:

Name of the Position: Data Entry Operators (DEO)

Number of positions: Total number of vacancies 92 and this is grouped under the categories as follows:

• For All subordinate court in Bihar – 90

• For Bihar Judicial Academy – 02

Reservation of vacancies for different categories of candidates will be applicable according to the rules of the state of Bihar

Remuneration: Candidates appointed on contract basis for the position of Data Entry Operator, will be paid as per the consolidated pay prevailing in the state of Bihar.

Eligibility Conditions:

Education: Candidates must be degree holders in B. Com/B. Sc/B. A or any other equivalent degree holders from a recognized university and they should be proficient in computer applications. Preference will be given to graduates in computer applications. Candidates should also possess a certificate in computer application from a recognized institution.

Age Requirement: The minimum and maximum age requirements for different category candidates are given below:

• Unreserved Male – Minimum 18 and Maximum 37

• Unreserved Female – Minimum 18 and Maximum 40

• Backward Class & Extremely Backward Class (Male) - Minimum 18 and Maximum 40

• Backward Class & Extremely Backward Class (Female) - Minimum 18 and Maximum 40

• SC/ST Male/Female - Minimum 18 and Maximum 42

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the proficiency test followed by viva-voce. Preliminary test will be conducted by the high court for filtering the candidates, if the number of candidates applying is huge as compared to the number of vacancies available, vacancies will be filled by inviting candidates with merit for final selection process.
