Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture is shortly called as PAJANCOA and the institution came into existence in the year 1987 on the 2nd of October. The institution was established by the Government of Pondicherry as an autonomous institution with the basic objective of offering agricultural education and to meet the agricultural extension and research needs of the union territory of Pondicherry. The college also acts as a research institution form the year 1997.
