TPSC Tripura Public Service Commission has to play very important functions with responsibility like direct recruitment to the subordinate and ministerial services, to conduct examinations for appointment to various posts, advice govt. on disciplinary matters, for conducting exams etc. 

Job profile: The officers in various departments are required to work on different projects and offices. They are required to manage and execute certain activities. They will also be required to carry out research work.

Eligibility: A candidate must be between the age of 18 and 35 years. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: For Project officers – A candidate must have a Master’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/BioTechnology/Fisheries/Botany/Zoology/Physiology/Veterarinay Science/ Bio-Chemistry with an experience of 2 years. For Senior Scientific Officer – A candidate must be an M.Sc with 50 % (minimum) in the relevant field with an experience of 3 years. For Fishery Officer – A candidate must be a B.Sc in zoology or B.F.Sc from a recognized university.

No. of posts: There are 2 posts for Project officers, 2 for senior scientific officers and 9 for fishery officers.

Pay scale: The pay scale for a project officer will be Rs7800-15100, for a senior scientific officer will be Rs13575-37000 and for a fishery officer it will be Rs9570-30000.

Selection procedure: The candidates will have to appear for a screening test/ interview the date, time and venue for which will be intimated later.

How to apply: The candidates are required to apply as per the format available on the website or they can be obtained from Tripura Gramin Bank (located in Tripura only) on payment of the prescribed fee (Rs200 for GEN and Rs150 for SC/ST for the post of project officer and Rs150 for GEN and Rs75 for SC/ST for the post of senior scientific officer and fishery officer) in the account no. 14711. The candidates downloading the form from the website ill have to send a DD of the required fee in the favor of Secretary, TPSC. The candidates must send the copies of their certificates and 2 recent photographs along with the application.
