Ramdev P.G. College came into existence in the year 1999 and the college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth located at Varanasi. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India. The college focuses on character building and moral education together with sound knowledge of subjects.

Courses offered:

Ramdev PG College offers the following courses:

• Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) – Secondary

• B.T.C. Elementary Teacher Training

• Bachelor of Computer Applications

Eligibility requirement:

For the Bachelor of Education course offered by the Ramdev PG College, candidates must have completed their graduation or post graduation in any stream of education with not less than 50% of marks, in the case of SC candidates, they must have secured not less than 45% of marks in the qualifying examination. For B.T.C course, candidates with not less than 50% of marks at the intermediate or at graduation level are eligible to apply. For BCA course, candidates must have completed their intermediate course from a recognized institution.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates for the B. Ed course is done through admission test and counseling, while for the B.T.C. course, it is based on the merit list prepared by the DIET.  On the other hand, admission to the BCA course is on the basis of the performance of the candidates in written test.

Approved intake capacity:

For the B. Ed course, whose duration of one-year, Ramdev PG College is approved with an intake capacity of 100 students per year, which includes 86 from Arts & commerce stream and 14 from science and agriculture stream. For B.T.C. course, whose duration is two years, the institution is permitted to admit 50 students per year, while for BCA course of three-year duration, the intake capacity is 120 students per year.

College library:

Ramdev PG College has a rich library with a collection of more than 10,000 books of which more than 6000 books pertain to B. Ed course. Other resources available in the library are 36 audio cassettes, 18 video cassettes, 81 CDs, 7 sets of encyclopedias and 362 journals.
