This test is conducted to admit candidates to MD, MS and Diploma courses in medical subjects offered at various colleges in Karnataka. Candidates will be admitted to the government seats in these colleges based on the score obtained from this exam.

Structure of PGCET Karnataka for MD/MS/Diploma

This entrance test will be conducted with two hundred objective questions having duration of three hours. If the candidate chooses correct answer from the four alternatives, one mark will be given to that answer. Otherwise no mark will be scored by the candidate.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have obtained their MBBS Degree from any College located in Karnataka with recognition from Medical Council of India. Candidates who have graduated from colleges outside Karnataka with recognition from Medical Council of India can apply only if they are of Karnataka origin.

How to Apply?

Applicants should fill the form online through the website www.rguhs.ac.in and submit it to the Registrar, RGUHS, 4th ‘T’ Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore – 560 041 along with the DD of registration fee. Applicants can submit it either by post or personally along with two extra photos. DD should be taken in the name of ‘Registrar, RGUHS, Bangalore’. Registration fee for this test for different category are given below

  • SC, ST and Category – I - Rs. 400/-
  • Others - Rs. 1500/-

How to fill the Form?

Applicants should fill their name as per MBBS degree certificate in capital letters. Date of Birth entered on the form should be same as in Birth certificate. Enter the details of DD into the form carefully without any mistakes.

Study Plan

While studying for postgraduate entrance exam, students should prepare notes on important concepts so that they can understand these concepts thoroughly. Students can also refer it at the time of revision. Thus these topics can be memorized easily. Before move on to tougher sections, students should finish the easier part. Then only they can finish all topics in time. Practicing with old question paper will help the students to acquaint with the changes which have happened in the pattern of the exam. Also they will be able to solve different kind of questions. Students should study at least four hours each day. Coaching centers can help the students in managing the time to solve each question.

Score Validity

Score of the exam is valid till the end of the admission process.
