ICET is an examination which is conducted on national level for admission in programmes like MBA and MCA in government and private aided colleges. MBA & MCA is the post-graduation programme which is very popular in present time. MBA is the study of business administration whereas MCA is the higher study in computer application.

Qualification for appearing in this exam:

Candidates are only eligible to get enrolled in MCA or MBA if they have successfully completed their graduation. Candidates who want to take admission in MCA are required to study mathematics in their 10+2. Students of final year are also eligible to apply if they get their passing certificate before the admission process.

Scoring and Negative Marking:

Paper contains questions of equal marks and there are no negative marking in this paper, though questions are of objective type.

Mode of Exam:

Paper is an objective one but it is needed to be solved in an OMR sheet by the candidates. Correct answers are to be shaded in the OMR sheet.

Format:

Paper is an objective one, questions are of equal marks. Questions are of equal value but they are of different pattern such as assertion and reasons, true or false statements and match making.

Paper Pattern:

ICET Paper contains 200 questions in it and these questions are of equal marks. All questions are equipped with 4 choices to choose. There are questions of statement type, assessment & reasons. There is no negative marking in the paper.

Divisions in this Paper:

The paper is divided into three broad categories: Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication.

Analytical Ability:

This section has two major parts i.e. Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving. Problem solving again has 4 small divisions i.e. Sequence and Series, Data Analysis, Coding and Decoding Problems and Date, Time and Arrangement Problems.

Mathematical Ability:

This part is divided into Arithmetical Ability, Algebraical and Geometrical Ability, and Statistical Ability.

Communication:

Communication part has four parts: Part-I contains questions on finding correct meaning of the given word from the sets of options given. Part II and Part III contains questions to choose the correct answer and Part Iv is based on Comprehension passage.

Marking:

Paper is of questions of equal marks and there are total of 200 marks. Full marks in the paper can be obtained as it is an objective paper.

Schedule:

Paper is needed to be solved in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
