Medical Officer, Public Health and Family Welfare Department
Public Health and Family Welfare Department comes under the control of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The ministry is headed by a secretary to the Government of India. Department of Health & Family welfare is one of the department in Minsitry of health and Family Welfare and the other departments are Department of Ayush, Department of Health Research and Department of AIDS control. The department has an attached office with it named Directorate General of Health Services. The directorate provides technical advice on all medical and public health matters.
Job Profile:
Public Health and Family Welfare Department invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the posts of Medical Officer purely on contract basis. Selected candidates will have to serve the department initially for a period of 2 years under contract. The contract can be renewed depending on the performance of candidates and also on the requirement of the department. The vacancies are available in the districts named Murena, Guna, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datiya, Bhind, Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Jhabua etc.
Eligibility:
Candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit or else they will not be considered eligible for the post. Candidates should have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit but not more than prescribed maximum age limit. Reserved categories candidates may get relaxation in the upper age limit set for the post. Candidates are also required to be medically fit and should follow the prescribed physical standard.
Educational Qualification:
Graduation or Diploma in concerned discipline from a recognized institute or university is the minimum educational qualification required for the post of Medical Officer in Public Health and Family Welfare Department. All interested candidates are required to possess this minimum educational qualification or else they will not be considered eligible for the specified post. However, MBBS degree from a recognized university of India is desirable for the post of Medical Officer in Public Health and Family Welfare Department.
