Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Energy is a unit of Department of Atomic Energy which is a Govt. of India undertaking. It was established in the year 1971. It is a premier centre for the R&D work in the department of atomic energy. The main aim is to be the world leader in the field of fast breeder reactors and associated technologies. 

Job profile: The technical officers will be required to manage and operate various technical systems. They will be required to execute the activities of their department viz. repairing of systems, handling of operations etc.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years. However, relaxation can be claimed.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be a B.E/B.TECH in mechanical/electronics and communication/electrical/material science with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university. A candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the relevant field.

No. of posts: There are 11 posts in total which include 6 for mechanical, 3 for ECE, 1 for electrical and 1 for material science.

Pay scale: The officers will be given a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 and a grade pay of Rs5400. Other allowances will be as per the rules.

Selection process: The candidates will have to undergo an interview and the selections will be based only on merit.
