Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility requirement for the diploma in chemical engineering is that the candidate must pass class 10. A class 12 pass candidate is also eligible to appear for the course as the minimum age requirement is 15 years. An entrance exam is held for admission in the diploma course in chemical engineering. The candidate must produce a Secondary School Leaving Certificate in time of admission.
Course Outlook
Diploma in chemical engineering is a 3 year course offered in various polytechnic colleges of India. The syllabus is split into 6 semester held every November/ December and May/ June. In this course duration students are evaluated on the basis of practical examination as well as theoretical examination and marks are given on basis of Continuous Formative Assessment and End Semester Examination. A Diploma holder can further go opt for advanced diploma, bachelor degree or master degree in the field.
Job Prospects
The candidate has a good job prospect in the agricultural sector. There are further opportunities in the industries involved in production of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, and other related sector.
