National Eligibility Teat or NET is the common test which is scheduled to be held every year for the fellowship and junior research fellowship for their Universities. The paper is a new paper in comparison to the other papers but it has very unique field to work.

Qualification for appearing in this exam:

Candidates who are post-graduate from any field and their marks in the qualifying examination is 55% from any affiliated University can apply for the examination andcandidates who are still to pass their post-graduation can also apply if they are going to have their results before the final interviews. There is relaxation of marks and age for SC/ST candidates. There is age limitation of 28 years for general candidates. However, there is no such condition for lectureship.

Scoring and Negative Marking:

This paper is formed with questions of subjective type. There is no penalty for wrong answer, so it is advisable that candidates should attempt all the problems.

Mode of Exam:

Examination is held offline and students will get an answer sheet in which they have to write their answers provided by the UGC.

Format:

Paper contains only subjective pattern problems and these questions are sub divided part-wise to give a new type of question to the candidates.

Paper Pattern:

Paper of Criminology Paper III contains total no. of 26 problems in the paper; the paper is divided into 4 different sections. Section A is of unseen passage and there are 5 questions, Section B is of 15 questions, Section C is of 5 questions which should be written in 200 words each and Section D is of 1 question which is of essay type.

Marking:

Paper is of 200 marks.

Schedule:

Paper is needed to be solved in 3 hours.
