Course durations:

The duration of Bachelor of Education course is 1.5 years, while that of Bachelor of Education (elementary) and Master of Education courses, the duration is two years. The Master of Philosophy course extends to a period of one year and the minimum duration allowed by the institute for full-time Ph. D course in Education is two years.

Eligibility requirement:

For B. Ed courses, candidates must have completed their graduation or post graduation in any discipline with at least 50% of marks. For M. Ed admission, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Education course with at least 50% of marks and for M. Phil in Education, candidates with Master of Education or Master of Arts in Education are eligible to apply. For Ph. D course, candidates must have completed their Master’s Degree in Education with at least 55% of marks.

Infrastructural facilities at the institute:

Mangalayatan Institute of Education & Research has a rich collection of nearly 5000 books and high-standard journals pertaining to teaching. The library is fully computerized and automated with internet facility. The institute is provided with the best language lab and electronic equipments and there are five lecture rooms in the institute for B. Ed and M. Ed courses. Educational rooms at the institute are provided with sophisticated equipments for offering the best education.
