Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) carries out recruitment for the post of ‘Mechanical Supervisor Trainee’ through an objective type written test and interview. Diploma/degree holders in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering can appear for the entrance test. Written test covers questions on Engineering Aptitude, General Knowledge, Supervisory Aptitude, etc.  Marks in qualifying exam and contribution to NCC are also counted during selection.

Exam pattern of APSRTC Mechanical Supervisor Trainee Exam

Written exam is carried out in objective model. There will be 200 questions for the test which must be completed with in 3 hour time period. Each correct answer carries one mark. No negative marking is there for the test. The test covers questions from the following subjects.

  • Supervisory Aptitude
  • Engineering Aptitude
  • Reasoning
  • General English
  • General Knowledge
  • Numerical Aptitude

Eligibility Criteria for APSRTC Mechanical Supervisor Trainee Exam

Technical degree holders in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering are eligible to apply. Those who possess diploma in the mentioned subjects are also eligible to apply, provided they have completed graduation in any subject from a recognized University. Apart from these educational qualifications, applicants should possess certain age requirements also. Age must be with in the limits of 18 and 25 years. Ex-service men can enjoy 3 year age relaxation where as reserved category candidates can have 5 years relaxation of age. Candidate should also possess the medical standards insisted by APSRTC.

Application procedure for APSRTC Mechanical Supervisor Trainee Exam

As the first step of application process, the candidate should make their fee payment. Application fee for the test is Rs. 200/-. Fee payment can be made through any of the AP Online center. There the candidate must enter their basic details such as name, father’s name, communication address, etc. On entering these details and making the fee payment, a receipt will be generated. The receipt may contain a journal number, which should be kept safe for future reference.

Applications can be forwarded through the official website of APSRTC. Candidate should enter their journal number, to have the application. After filling the application form with relevant details, the same must be submitted via the web portal.
