Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani - Goa Campus offers a number of M.Sc, BE and ME courses. Institute has got a good placement record, where every year top most companies in India and abroad visit the campus for recruitment. BITS offer a two phase placement. Specified number of students from various courses will be eligible to participate for recruitment in each of the phases. The Practice School Programme offered at BITS allows candidates to prepare for the placement with practical experience in their area of study.

Placement Procedure

There will be no registration for the placement process. The first phase of the placement process is carried out from August to November. A second phase, for another set of students will be carried out from January to April.

During the first phase, B.E students from various branches will be available for recruitment. 31 students from Chemical Engineering, 39 from Computer Science, 53 from Electrical and Electronics, 37 from Electronics and Instrumentation and 34 from Mechanical Engineering can attend the placement drive. 22 students from M. Sc. (Tech.) Information Systems and two students from M. Sc. (Hons) Biology, can attend the first phase recruitment drive. A fixed number of students pursuing an M.E in various branches will also be available for recruitment in the first phase.

In the second phase of the placement procedure, BITS will specify the number of students from each braches that will be available for recruitment. Recruiting companies can conduct the placement drive accordingly.

The selection process will be carried out according to the requirements of the recruiting company. The selection would usually involve a pre-placement seminar by the company. Candidates can clear doubts, raise questions concerning selection procedure etc during this interactive session.

The pre-placement talk will be followed by the selection process for the candidates. This usually involves multiple processes. The selection process would include a written test that would evaluate the candidate’s aptitude and basic subject knowledge. Candidates who qualify for this stage are required to appear for the technical round. Shortlisted candidates will have to attend a Group Discussion/ interview. The final stage is the HR interview round.
