Admission to the Bachelor of Management Studies in St. Xavier’s College is done on the basis of score in the entrance exam conducted by the Institute. The entrance exam comprises questions from topics like Data Interpretation, Basic Mathematics, Reasoning, and Creative Thinking. Candidates who have cleared their higher secondary exam with a minimum of 55 % marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criterion for Bachelor of Management Studies in St.Xavier’s College

Candidates, who have passed higher secondary examination in any stream conducted by any recognized Central / State Board, are eligible for admission to Bachelor of Management Studies. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55 % marks in aggregate in higher secondary exam. Candidates belonging to reserved category require at least 50 % aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.  Apart from this, candidates will have to secure at least 60 % marks in the entrance exam, conducted by the institute.

Pattern of Entrance Exam

The entrance exam will have only one paper. The question book let comprises of objective as well as descriptive questions. Candidates are required to answer all questions within a time limit of two hours. There will be questions from topics such as General Knowledge Current Affairs, Data Interpretation and Basic Mathematics, Verbal Ability, Reasoning/ Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking and Maths. Questions from critical reasoning, maths /statistics and data interpretation are of the basic higher secondary level. The questions are meant to assess the aptitude of the candidates for the course. Medium of instruction will be in English Language and candidates are required to answer in English. Centre of the examination will be the college campus itself.

Candidates who have cleared entrance exam will be short listed for personal interview. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained by the candidates in written test and personal interview. Special weightage will be given to candidates who have scored high marks in higher secondary exam.

Application Procedure

Candidates who seek admission for BMS in St. Xavier’s college need to apply online for the entrance examination. Candidates can submit their application form through the official website of the institution. Application fees for general category is Rs. 450/-. Candidates belong to reserved category are required to pay Rs. 150/- as application fees. Candidates are required to make payment by taking a Demand Draft from any nationalised bank, drawn in favour of “Principal, St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai” payable in Mumbai. Apart from this, application fees can be paid through Credit/Debit Cards of major banks too.
