Admission process in Delhi Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology

Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary course in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for under graduation program in Hotel Management. 85% of the total seats in each course is reserved for those who are domiciled from the state of Delhi. Diploma holders or those who completed Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management are eligible to apply for Post graduate diploma in Accommodation Operation.

Candidates who are applying for diploma program should have completed minimum of 15 years of age at the time of application. Matriculation/ Higher Secondary Course are the minimum educational qualification required for admission to diploma course.  Upper age limit for all courses is 25 years. Candidates belonging to Scheduled caste/ Scheduled tribe can seek 5 years relaxation in upper age limit. Minimum marks required to be eligible for diploma program is 50% in aggregate in HSC or matriculation. Candidates should have studied English as a compulsory subject in Higher Secondary course or in matriculation. Reserved category candidates can avail relaxation up to 10% in qualifying marks. Apart from these, candidates are required to be physically fit as per the set of standards issued by the Institute. Admission to all courses is based on the marks obtained in qualifying examination, physical fitness and final interview conducted by the institute.

Application Procedure

Candidates who wish to join Delhi Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology are required to apply in prescribed application form along with attested copies of following documents.

  • Attested copy for age proof
  • Attested copies of educational qualification
  • Fitness certificate from a registered MBBS doctor
  • Character and Conduct certificate from Head of the Institution last attended
  • Four copies of recent passport size photos

Those who are belonging to reserved categories are required to submit copies of reserved category certificates. Those who get selection will be listed in the notice board of the institution.
