Essential Details on Karnataka PGCET (MBA)
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admission to MBA programme in management institutes in Karnataka. The degree is offered in regular as well as part time mode and graduates with a minimum of 50% marks can apply. Quantitative Analysis, Reasoning, English language, General Knowledge and General Intelligence forms the syllabus for PGCET (MBA). Applications for attending the entrance test can be submitted online through the web portal of KEA.
Eligibility Criterion for Karnataka PGCET (MBA)
Candidates having completed their graduation of 3 year (minimum) duration can apply. The qualification must be obtained from a recognized University/college with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Those belonging to SC/ST category need to have a minimum percentage of 45 only.
The above mentioned eligibility is applicable for part time MBA programs also. Besides this, those seeking admission to part time MBA programs must have at least 3 year work experience from any reputed organization. Such candidates must be working with an organization within a distance not less than 40 km from the place where the institution is situated.
Exam Pattern for Karnataka PGCET (MBA)
Written test comprises of two parts, Part I and Part II. Part I includes questions on English Language and General Knowledge. Reasoning, General Intelligence and Quantitative Analysis forms the syllabus for Part II. Questions will be asked in objective model and there will be a total of 200 questions. Application Procedure for Karnataka PGCET (MBA)
Applications can be submitted online through the official website of Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Before filling the online application form, applicant should make their application fee payment. Application fee amounts to Rs. 600/- for general, OBC and non Karnataka candidates. Other candidates belonging to reserved category need to pay Rs. 300/- only. This can paid through any of the designated banks using the fee challan form downloaded from the website of KEA.
Filled up application forms must be uploaded with a scanned copy of recent photograph and signature. Upon successful submission of the application form, a registration ID and password will be sent to the mail-id of the applicant.
