Fresh engineers or BCA/B.Sc graduates can join with the campus selection process of iGate Patni. Such candidates must have a consistent score of 60% marks throughout academics, without any gap in studies. Selection process consists of written test, essay writing, and technical/HR interview.

Eligibility Criteria for Campus Placement in iGate Patni

Fresh graduates or post graduates in technical streams are often considered for placement. B.Tech/M.Tech holders in any of the following subjects can participate in the process of campus placement.

  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Electronics & Instrumentation
  • Mechanical Engineering

Apart from this, BCA graduates or B.Sc holders in streams like computer science, information technology, mathematics or electronics can apply for the position of ‘Software Developer’. A consistent score of 60% marks is required from 10th till graduation. No gap in education is allowed. Not more than two backlog papers prior to final year are permitted.

Campus Selection Procedure for iGate Patni

Eligible candidates can participate in the online or offline campus recruitment process organized by iGate Patni. Selection is made through three rounds.

  • Written Test
  • Essay Writing/ Mail Writing
  • Technical and HR interview

Test Pattern for Campus Placement in iGate Patni

A total of fifty questions are asked for the written test. Time allotted for the completion of the test is 60 minutes. Questions for the written test are categorized under two headings.

  • Verbal Ability
  • General Aptitude

Synonym, antonym, reading comprehension, sentence correction, etc are some of the common topics included under verbal ability section. 20 questions are asked for the section for a total of 20 marks. Time allotted for the completion of the section is 20 minutes.

Thirty questions are asked from general aptitude section for 30 marks. Questions are usually asked from the following topics.

  • Average
  • Blood Relations
  • Coding and decoding
  • Data sufficiency
  • Mixtures and Allegations
  • Number Systems
  • Percentages
  • Permutation and combination
  • Probability
  • Profit and loss
  • Puzzles
  • Ratio
  • Venn diagram

Practicing model questions is quite useful, as speed is much important to clear the test. There is no negative marking. Students should score at least 15 marks in the written exam to qualify. Those who can get through the written test will be short listed for essay/mail writing. Essay writing is based on general topics and around 30-45 minutes is given for its completion. Final round of selection process is Technical and HR interview. Career prospects, questions related to project, etc are asked for the section. Selected candidates in the section will be given with the offer letter.
