Hello satish, yes sure you can join Software MNC firms after doing Mechanical engineering. I have many relatives of mine who are in the software industry, but mechanical or electrical engineers.

Yes, my friend you can join in software MNC companies... Now a days every company is taking students from different branches..
A student from mechanical engineering can also get a job in software MNC's...
To get a job in software sector it is not important that you are from which stream, because they give you the required training.. they trained you for their job..

if you know soft skill's and you have the basic knowledge of computer and programming language then you can get a job in software MNC's.....

so, if you really want to get a job in software sector then try to build up your soft skill's....

you are eligible for some few software company like TCS , CTS ,WIPRO, IBM etc.

but most of software company are not allowed the mechanical department.

hi am a b.tech mechanical engineer since 3 years am in construction field and presently, doing a job as a site engineer, is there any chance to get into software field

i am doing mechanical engg.(final year) & i hv got a job in IgATE PATNI .so, should I go for it or not.i don't know much about "IT field",would it affect my performance there? and what is the scope for coming back in the Mech. engg. field if i don't find myself fit into IT industry
