GLA University Mathura offers Doctor of Philosophy programmes both full time and part time in various subjects like Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Computer Science & Engineering. The admission will be based on the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and Ph.D entrance test conducted by Central bodies UGC/IITs/CSIR/IIMs or GLA University.

Admission Process for Doctor of Philosophy Programmes in GLA University

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have completed Masters Degree in relevant field with first class/division. If the class/division is not specified or awarded then an average point of 6.75 out of 10 point scale in Cumulative Grade should be obtained. Masters Degree holders in Applied Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities with 55% marks are also eligible to apply provided that the candidate should qualify JRF/NET/equivalent examination. Certain exemptions like waiving the requirement of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or first division are granted for candidates with a Master’s Degree by only Research.  Such candidates must have released at least 1 publication in a reputed refereed journal. Apart from the above following fulfillments are required for admission.

• Bachelor’s Degree holder in Pharmacy or Engineering with Honour’s
• Candidates with a CGPA score of 8.25 or above /75%
• Applicants with 5 years teaching experience
• Candidates with research experience and at least 1 publication in a reputed refereed journal

In addition with satisfying all eligibility criteria all applicants should qualify the Entrance Test for Ph.D. conducted by the Central bodies like UGC/IITs/IIMs/CSIR or GLA University. Those candidates should qualify an interview carry forwarded by the Departmental Research Degree Committee (RDC) of GLA University.

Application Process

Application forms can be downloaded from GLA University website. Candidates should duly fill in the form with affixing recent color photograph along with copies of relevant documents as prescribed in the application form. A demand draft of Rs 1000/- should also be drawn in favour of GLA University payable at Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh and  attached with the completed application forms and documents in an envelope. On the top of envelop a heading “Application Request Form for Admission in Ph.D should be stated and send to University Campus address. Applicants are informed about the date of entrance examination after the receipt and scrutiny of admission forms.
