Eligibility and Admission Process for M.Tech (Metallurgical and Material Engineering)

Engineering graduates in streams of mechanical engineering, or metallurgical and material engineering can apply. Candidate’s performance in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is considered for admission. A minimum of 60% marks in B.Tech is preferred for admission in IIT. IIT’s conducts a suitability test is conducted for candidates who have qualified GATE in any other subject other than MT. Final selection is done through a centralized counseling process.

Fee structure for the course varies with college. In MNIT the tuition fee for pursuing the course is Rs. 17,500/- per semester. Tuition fee for studying the course in IIT, Bombay is Rs. 5000/- per semester.
