The course covers the study of programming languages in each semester. C++ is the language taught during first semester and C#, Java, etc are included under 2nd semester studies. Total marks given for each paper is 100. Out of this, 25 marks should be obtained from internal assessment exam and the rest from end semester examination. In practical examination, 50% marks will be for internal assessment and the rest for end semester examination. Students need to obtain at least 40% marks in each paper to pass.

Eligibility Criteria for P.G Diploma in (Computer Applications) in Delhi University
Eligibility criteria for this course are somewhat similar to that of MCA degree. Graduates having studied mathematics as a subject are eligible to apply. Degree holders in any subject who have mathematics as a subject at 12th class are also eligible to apply. The requested qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 50% marks. Students who are appearing in the final year examination are also eligible. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST) are given with 5% relaxation in marks.
Admission Procedure for P.G Diploma in (Computer Applications) in Delhi University
An entrance test is conducted for finding eligible candidates for admission. It is conducted by the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with the colleges running the course. Questions for the entrance test will be based on the following topics.
