Profile:

National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) was founded by the Government of India on 7 February 1976. It is an apex institute which is determined to promote the development of Ayurveda in the country. This institute also conducts research on various aspects of Ayurveda with the main objective of promoting Ayurveda in the country.

Job profile:

Candidates can apply for the posts of Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturer depending on their educational qualification.

Eligibility:

Candidates applying for the posts of Professor and Assiatant Professor should not be more than 55 years of age and candidates applying for the posts of Lecturer should not be more than 40 years of age.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates are required to have PG Qualification in Ayurveda in the concerned Subject recognized by CCIM or Ayurved Vachaspati, M.D.(Ay.) of University of Rajasthan in the concerned Subject for applying for the posts of Professor and Assitant Professor while Post-Graduate Degree in Ayurveda recognized by CCIM or Ay.Vachaspati, M.D.(Ay.) of University of Rajasthan with Specialization in the concerned subject is required for the post of Lecturer.

No. of posts: Total 14 posts are available.

Pay scale:

Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8700 + 25% NPA.
Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 7600 + 25% NPA
Lecturer: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 + 25% NPA

Selection process:

Candidates will have to undergo a written examination. Candidate’s performance in the examination will play a major part in the final selection for the posts.

How to apply: Candidates are required to send the complete Application form alongwith a recent Passport size photograph pasted on the upper right corner duly attested by Gazetted Officer and the attested copies of required certificates and an application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST) in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, to Director.

Last date for the reciept of Application is 28 December 2009.

    Less then six month teaching experiance is countable or not in totaling of total experiance for submitting application for prof. or astt. prof. post?
