Adarsh College of Nursing came into existence in the year 2004 and the college is widely recognized as a well-equipped and modern nursing college in the state of Punjab. The college is approved as a centre of excellence for nursing education in the state. It has earned due recognition from the Punjab Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council and the Government of Punjab and it is affiliated to the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

Courses offered:

Adarsh College of Nursing offers the following courses in the field of nursing:

Master of Science in Nursing (two-year course)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (four-year course)

Bachelor of Science in Post Basic Nursing (two-year course)

General Nursing & Midwifery (three-year course)

Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (one-and-half year course)

Eligibility conditions and admission procedure:

For seeking admission to the above-mentioned courses, candidates must secure not less than 35% of marks (30% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in the Punjab Pre-Medical Entrance Test. Admission of students shall be made based on the merit secured by the students on the PPMET followed by counseling, which is compulsory. If two or more candidates get the same percentage of mark in the PPMET examination, selection will be based on the following criteria:

Preference will be given to candidates with higher percentage of mark in the higher secondary examination in English, biology, chemistry and physics subjects put together

Then, candidates with higher percentage of marks in the biology paper of the 10+2 examination will be preferred

Finally, candidate who is older than the other candidates with the same percentage of mark in the PPMET examination will be selected after filtering in the above two stages
