Admission Process for M.D. /M.S. (Ayu) in Gujarat Ayurved University
Gujarat Ayurved University offers M.D. /M.S. (Ayurveda) with specialization in subject areas like Bhaishajya Kalpana, Samhita, Panchakarma and Kaumara Bhritya. B.A.M.S or B.S.A.M qualified candidates on completion of internship can seek admission. Admissions are offered on the basis of a common entrance test conducted at the University.

Eligibility Criteria for M.D. /M.S. (Ayu) in Gujarat Ayurved University
Bachelor degree in Ayurveda from any of the recognized University is the basic qualification required. B.A.M.S or B.S.A.M degree must be obtained from Gujarat Ayurved University or any other equivalent University, recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine (C.C.I.M), New Delhi, India. Moreover, eligible candidate must have completed internship program for a specific period, depending on the duration of the course. If the duration of the course is 41/2 years, then the duration of the internship must be 12 months. For B.A.M.S courses of 5 year duration, the required duration for internship is 6 months.
Total number of seats allotted for admissions are 54. Out of this, 50% are reserved for candidates who have obtained the required qualification from Gujarat state. Rest of the seats is reserved for candidates from other Indian states. Special reservations are offered for SC and ST candidates as per rule.
Admission Procedure for M.D. /M.S. (Ayu) in Gujarat Ayurved University
Admission of eligible candidate is done on the basis of ‘PG Entrance Exam’ conducted at Gujarat Ayurved University. Written exam is conducted for 100 marks and that should be completed within time duration of 75 minutes. Candidates need to obtain at least 50% marks in the entrance exam to qualify. In case of SC/ST candidates, the required cut off percentage is 40. Applications for attending the entrance exam can be submitted online through the web portal of the University.
Those who have passed the written exam will be short listed for counseling. Candidates appearing for the counseling process should be ready with the following documents.

- HSC passing certificates
- Internship completion certificate
- SSC passing certificates
Selected students can join the program after remitting the insisted application fees.
