In order to apply for Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination, it is essential to complete 12th class studies with not less than 60% marks. Also, engineering diploma holders who have scored a minimum aggregate of 60% marks can apply. The pattern of the exam will be objective format with a total of 120 questions from key subject topics like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Exam centers are arranged in states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra and Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria for Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination

Applicants should pass 12th class in science stream with at least 60% marks. It is compulsory for candidates to choose science as the main subject in 12th class with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects of studies. Those candidates who have completed diploma course in engineering from any of the reputed institutes (recognized by the State Board of technical Education) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in diploma.

Exam Pattern for Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination

The entrance examination consists of a single question paper which includes a total of 120 questions. Time limit for attending the test is 3 hours. Each question involves 3 marks and (-1) marks will be deducted for wrong answer. The objective model question paper cover questions from three main subject areas such as – Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

Paper 1 – Mathematics

  • Total marks – 180 marks

Paper 2 – Chemistry

  • Total number of questions – 30 questions
  • Total marks – 90 marks

Paper 3 – Physics
