Annamalai University is situated in Annamalainagar, near Chidambaram. It is one of the largest residential universities of Asia. The university offers a range of courses-both undergraduate and postgraduate. Among the postgraduate courses one course is M.A. in Political Science. The course is of duration two years. In the second year of the course there is a paper on Indian Political Thought. The pattern of the exam is given below.

The exam of the subject is of a total of 100 marks and duration of three hours. The paper is divided in two sections. The first section consists of eight questions with a choice of answering any five. The questions are to be answered in around 300 words. Each question carries eight marks. This section carries 40 marks.

Section B consists of five questions. The candidates have to answer any three in about 1200 marks. Each question is of twenty marks. The marks carried by this section are 60.

The questions are conventional with subjective answers. The question paper covers the entire syllabus. Thorough study is very essential to score good marks in the subject. The paper is scoring if enough study is done.
