The major objective of the organisation is to develop the space technology. Satish Dhawan Space Centre is the primary spaceport of the organization.

Job Profile:

Indian Space Research Organisation invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for filling up the vacant positions of Assistant and Junior Personal Assistant. The organisation is looking forward to recruit young, dynamic and dedicated administrative support staff only. The vacancies are available in various centres or units of Indian Space Research Organisation across India.

Eligibility:

The maximum age limit set for the General candidates is 26 years as on 14 December 2011. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories will get relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit i.e. they should have age below than 31 years. OBC categories candidates will get relaxation of only 3 years in the maximum age limit. Those candidates, who belongs to Ex-Serviceman, person With Disabilities categories will get relaxation as per the rules of Government of India. Widows and Divorced Women will also get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Assistant: Candidates must possess Graduation degree in Arts or Commerce or Management or Science or Computer Applications with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute or university. Candidates should also have knwoledge of Computer Applications.

Junior Personal Assistant: Graduation in Arts or Commerce or Management or Science or Computer Applications with minimum 60% marks in aggergate is required for the post. Those candidates, who possess Diploma in Commercial or Secretarial pratice with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and one year experience as Steno Typist, are also eligible to apply. Candidates should also possess knowledge of Computers and minimum speed of 80 words per minute in English stenography.

Pay Scale:

Assistant: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

Selection Process:

Eligible candidates will be called to appear in the Written Test that will be conducted on 26 December 2012. The written test will be conducted at six venues i.e. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, hyderabad, New Delhi, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram. Call letters for written test will be sent to only shortlisted candidates. Successfull candidates of the written test will then be called for the interview test.

How to apply: Candiates must apply online only at the official website of Indian Space Research Organisation. The online application should be made on or before the 14 December 2011. Applicatiosn recieved after due date will not be considered. After applying online, candidates should take a printout of the application form and send it to the following address in an envelope superscribed as “ICRB - RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT AND JUNIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT”.
