Ganpat University is looking for well-qualified and experience scholars for the position of Assistant Professor for the U.V. Patel College of Engineering, which is a constituent unit of the university.

Name of the position: Assistant Professor

Number of Vacancies: 28 (divided as electrical engineering – 2, civil engineering – 5, mechatronics engineering – 3, mechanical engineering - 6, information technology – 6 and electronics & communication engineering – 6)

Pay Scale: The cadre for the post of Assistant Professor is divided into four namely AP-1, AP-2, AP-3 and Senior AP, the respective pay scales are given below:

• AP – 1: Basic Pay Rs. 15600-20600 with AGP Rs. 6000

• AP – 2: Basic Pay Rs. 19500-23700 with AGP Rs. 6000

• AP – 3: Basic Pay Rs. 23300-28200 with AGP Rs. 7000

• Senior AP: Basic Pay Rs.28300-39500 with AGP Rs. 8000

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: For all cadres of Assistant Professors, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Engineering/Technology and Master of Engineering/Technology in appropriate subjects with first-class either at the UG or PG level.

Experience: For the position of Senior AP, candidates must have seven or more years of experience, for the position of AP-3, candidates with five or more years of experience can apply and for the position of AP-2, candidates with three or more years of experience in the educational field are eligible to apply. However, for AP-1 cadre, no such experience requirement is specified by the university.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates for the position of Assistant Professor will be based on the performance of candidates in interview. However, based on the number of candidates applying for the position of Assistant Professor, a written test might be conducted by the university on the date of interview.
