Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission was established under the Government of India. It was actually established under Article 318 of the Constitution of India. The commission was established on January 25, 1971. Initially, before the establishment of the Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission, the needs of the state of Himachal Pradesh were served by Union Public Service Commission. However, Union Public Service Commission was relaxed from the responsibility after the establishment of Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission.

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is looking forward to make recruitment on the following vacant positions of Assistant Public Relations Officer, Secretary, Drug Inspector, Accounts Officer, Principal (College Cadre) and Assistant Professor in different ministeries or departments of Government of Himachal Pradesh. All the vacancies are available in Department of Medical Education, Department of Higher Education, H.P. State Electricity Board Limited, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Agriculture and Department of Public Relations.

1. Recruitment of Assistant Public Relations Officer (Class-II):

Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

2. Recruitment of Secretary (On contract basis):

Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10830 per month.

3. Recruitment of Drug Inspector Class-II (On contract basis):

Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000-18300 per month.

6. Recruitment of Assistant Professor (Medical):

Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8900.

Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs. 250 is need to be submitted by the General candidates. Those candidates who belongs to reserved categories but are not the domicile of Himachal Pradesh, will also have to submit Rs. 250 as application fee. SC/ST/OBC candidates of Himachal Pradesh will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 63 only. The payment must be done through the means of a payment challan. The application fee must be paid in cash in any branch of Punjab National Bank.
