BCA is the UG course in computer applications that is attracting many students in India this days particularly with the objective of taking up Master of Computer Applications as a higher secondary course. Even though, it is not compulsory that candidates must have completed their BCA for admission to the MCA Colleges, many students take up BCA at the UG level with the hope that it will be easy for them to do MCA as their higher education. This is true in all parts of India and in the state of Uttrakhand as well. BCA Admissions in Uttrakhand:

Admission of students to the Bachelor of Computer Applications course in the state of Uttrakhand is done based on the merit secured by candidates in the higher secondary examination. Students can be from any educational background at the higher secondary level, however, some colleges have made it compulsory that candidates must have studied mathematics as one of the subjects at the higher secondary level. Each and every BCA college in the state reserved some percentage of seats to reserved category candidates based on the rules of the state government. BCA colleges in the state constitutes both government and private colleges and the fee collected by private BCA colleges are higher as compared to government colleges that offer higher education at an affordable cost.
