BVP MEDPET/DENPET is an entrance examination conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University for admission to its post-graduate medical and dental courses. Bharati Vidyapeeth University is one of the most prestigious universities in India. It provides higher education in various medical, technical, management, science, commerce and arts courses.

There are many reasons why one should prefer BVP. Bharati University provides its students with best of facilities, faculty, training and infrastructure. For its PG medical and dental courses it conducts MEDPET and DENPET on the same day. Through MEDPET a student can get admission to a number of medical PG courses and through DENPET to a number of dental PG courses.

Eligibility criteria:

For MEDPET a candidate should have a MBBS degree or should be completing the internship for it before April 2010. Also a candidate should be registered with any State Medical Council in India or Medical Council of India.

For DENPET a candidate should have a BDS degree or should be completing the internship for it before April 2010. Also a candidate should be registered with any State Dental Council in India or Medical Council of India.

Secondary Eligibility:

The entire undergraduate courses are easily applicable for anyone who has completed their 10 +2 level with high scores and from a well recognized education board. The minimum percentage should be 50 % in physics and chemistry along with biology. However the above requirement for candidates that belong to the Scheduled Castes as well as Scheduled Tribes is 40%, and should have English as their main subject.

Availability of Application forms for MEDPET/DENPET 2011:

The forms will be available at Bharati Vidyapeeth University and Medical College in Pune and also at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering in Delhi and Navi Mumbai.

Mode of Payment:

BVP MEDPET/DENPET 2010 Application form can be easily purchased through Cash Payment or through posting of Demand Draft on any Nationalized Banks in favor of the University. The cost of application forms is about Rs. 600/. But by post cost around Rs. 800/. The cost of the examination fee is assessed to be around Rs. 1000/.

Pattern of Examination:

The examination pattern of the institute is just like any other institutes. The duration of the entrance examination is 3 hours within which the examination is said to be conducted. The candidates are asked to solve 200 objective based questions in those 3 hours.  The pattern also has one more difference, which is no negative mark for wrong answers. Like other examinations, here no marks will be deducted if the answer is wrong.

Selection Procedure:

The aspiring candidates are said to be eligible for the admission after they qualify the entrance examination. Thus, in order to gain admission in this college, one will have to appear for the entrance examination. The level of this entrance examination is very high compared to other examinations on the basis of these entrance examinations, many students are shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates are then called in for a personal interview. The final assessment is done by comparing all the three aspect, which includes the marks that the candidates get in their 10+2 level, the marks they get in the entrance examination, and the scores of their personal interview.
